What is SPRESIweb?
InfoChem offers with the development of SPRESIweb a new dimension in scientific databases integration. Spresiweb combines a large chemical database with lots of links to additonal information sources. The search can be carried out for molecules, reactions and references. Links are provided to ChemNavigator and I-Labs of ACDLabs. For a direct document delivery we provide links to TIBORDER, CISTI, subito Library Service and to patent offices. The new SPRESIweb 2.8 contains over 8.0 million structures, 4.0 million reactions, 653,000 references and 164,000 patents. SPRESIweb covers the years 1974-2008.

How many molecules does SPRESIweb contain?
The SPRESIweb database contains over 8.0 million molecules.

How many reactions can you find using SPRESIweb?
SPRESIweb contains over 4.0 million reactions.

Which are the literature sources for the data in SPRESIweb?
The SPRESIweb data have been abstracted from over 1350 literature sources, mostly journals such as
  • Tetrahedron Letters,
  • Journal of Organic Chemistry,
  • Tetrahedron,
  • Journal of the American Chemical Society,
  • Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry,
  • Synthesis,
  • Liebigs Annalen der Chemie,
  • Journal of Organometallic Chemistry and
  • Angewandte Chemie.

Why do some molecules have no data?
If a molecule is cited only as isotope-marked or stereoisomer and not as basic structure, then this basic structure will nevertheless be saved in the SPRESIweb database.
